Access to your work desktop

Pre-requsites:

1. Your work desktop must allow you to log on to it remotely before you attempt to log in or you will get a logon failed message. Contact the IT Service Desk requesting remote access to your work desktop, you must supply the name or asset number

2. Your work desktop must be left switched on and without any others using it - leave a note to say it is being used

3. If your work desktop fails to respond to remote access because your desktop has shutdown, it will be your responsibility to resolve by asking collegues or attending site, IT will not be able troubleshoot

Open Remote Desktop Connection from the Start menu.

Enter the name of the remote machine you wish to connect to (the server name or desktop name at Moorfields)

Click Options > Advanced Tab

Click Settings and enter the details below:

Go to The display, resources & experience tabs to check the settings are correct for your needs.

Go back to the General tab and save this connection for future reference if necessary.

Click connect to authenticate and test.
